Demonstration kit Geometric optics for the steel board
Demonstrating Ray Paths, Reflection and Refraction on the Steel Board
The Demonstration kit Geometric optics for the steel board contains a range of precise optical model components for demonstration experiments in geometric optics. In combination with a Laser Ray Box, the kit can be used to demonstrate light propagation, reflection, refraction and total internal reflection, as well as other optical phenomena.
The model components are fitted with magnetic foil and can be attached directly to magnetic steel boards. This makes the paths of light rays through and around different optical components clearly visible to the entire class.
Additional magnetic foils allow experimental setups for the human eye, camera, Galilean telescope, Keplerian telescope and optical disc. The experiments also cover reflection using plane and curved mirrors, refraction with converging and diverging lenses, as well as models of short-sightedness and long-sightedness and their correction.
Detailed instructions support the preparation and performance of the experiments.
The magnetic Laser Ray Box (Art. No. 47128) is additionally required for the corresponding experiments. It is not included in the kit and can be stored in the experiment case. The number and spacing of the light rays can be adjusted using the Laser Ray Box.
