Make Light Rays Visible and Explore Optical Phenomena
The Laser Ray Box is designed for experiments in ray optics and generates up to five parallel laser beams for the clear visualization of light paths and optical phenomena. It is ideal for demonstrating concepts such as reflection, refraction, total internal reflection and lens optics in the classroom.
The unit contains five precisely aligned laser diodes that can produce different beam configurations. By repeatedly pressing the power button, users can select between one beam, three closely spaced beams, three widely spaced beams, or five parallel beams, providing flexibility for a wide range of optical investigations.
A magnetic foil on the underside allows the Laser Ray Box to be attached directly to suitable metal boards, making it particularly useful for classroom demonstrations and group instruction.
Power can be supplied either by the included battery holder for two AA (R06) batteries or by the supplied plug-in power supply with low-voltage connector and cable. Batteries are not included.
The integrated Class II laser diodes comply with safety requirements for classroom use. With a wavelength of 635 nm and an output power of 1 mW, they produce clearly visible red laser beams for studying the behavior of light.
