High Power Van De Graff Generator
Generating High DC Voltages for Electrostatics Experiments
Use: Demonstration experiments on electrostatic charge, high voltage and electric fields in physics lessons
The High Power Van De Graff Generator generates high DC voltages at low current for demonstration experiments on electrostatics. The large nickel-plated stainless steel sphere features a 4 mm socket for attaching accessories for a variety of experimental setups.
The belt runs inside a transparent acrylic tube, making the internal setup clearly visible. An integrated halogen lamp helps to keep the belt dry. The motor and lamp are powered via a connection box with a separate on/off switch. The plastic base is equipped with a grounding socket.
The supplied accessories include a nickel-plated stainless steel sphere on a rod with grounding cable, a thread tuft with 4 mm plug pin and a pointed wheel with needle holder. The required power supply with connecting cables is also included. The High Power Van De Graff Generator is supplied fully assembled.
