Students kit My body, my health

Investigating Body Functions, Senses and Health

Age: 11–14 years
Materials: for 1 working group or demonstration
Use: Student experiments on body functions, sensory perception, movement and health-related topics

With the Students kit My body, my health, students investigate the human body and fundamental body functions through practical activities. The set is suitable for one working group and can also be used for classroom demonstrations.

The students' own bodies provide a direct basis for investigation. They observe physical responses, explore different forms of sensory perception, and investigate connections between body functions, movement and health.

The practical activities allow students to explore biological processes through their own observations and measurements rather than studying them only in theory. In this way, topics from human biology can be directly connected with questions relating to health and well-being.

The picture shows a set of various laboratory equipment and accessories arranged in a protective foam pad. Items included include a funnel, pipettes, beakers and cotton swabs suitable for educational experiments.
The picture shows a red suitcase with the label "My body, my health" and the marking for a student experiment set from Cornelsen. The suitcase serves as a storage place for materials used in the educational sector.
The image shows an illustration that deals with the load-bearing capacity of bones. It contains a diagram with a beam from which two transparent tubes and a weight are suspended.
The picture shows various materials for an experiment, including two transparent cups, two white plastic rods and a small black weight hook. In addition, there is an information text on a sheet of paper that describes how to carry out the experiment.
The image shows an experimental setup with two clear cups connected by a thin tube while a black weight block hangs in the middle. This configuration can be used to demonstrate physical principles such as equilibrium or suspended weight.
The picture shows a simple experimental setup consisting of two transparent beakers, a white tube and a weight hanging from it. This arrangement is probably intended to demonstrate basic physics, such as the balance of forces.
The image shows a page from a textbook entitled "Nutrition and Digestion" that lists materials for detecting starch in foods. Various reagents and foods such as semolina and bread are shown.
The picture shows various laboratory equipment, including two petri dishes, chemicals such as sugar and iodine solution, as well as a dropper and a spoon. In the background is an information booklet, presumably containing instructions for experimental setups.
The picture shows two teenagers working on an experiment with test tubes and ingredients such as vegetables and fruits on the table. They appear to be concentrating while the boy is putting a substance into a test tube with a spoon.
The picture shows an experimental setup with five test tubes, each containing colored liquids, and various pieces of fruit on small Petri dishes. Next to the fruit are pH test strips and a kitchen appliance, presumably for processing the food.
The picture shows various laboratory materials, including test tubes filled with blue liquid, beakers and chemicals in bottles. There are also utensils such as a spoon and a plastic pipette that can be used for experiments.
In the picture, two young people are conducting an experiment. They are working with various equipment and samples of fruit and vegetables while filling liquids into test tubes and making their observations.
The picture shows two students working on an experiment. The student in orange is examining a liquid while the student in blue is using pipettes to add samples to test tubes placed on a railing.
The picture shows two transparent cups connected by a white tube, as well as a black weight and another white tube. These materials could be used for chemistry experiments or physics experiments in education.
The image shows various ingredients and chemicals used for educational experiments, including sugar, starch, bread, and an iodine solution. In the background is a package of semolina, indicating that the materials may be intended for culinary experiments.

The two plastic cups are placed upside down on the table. The plastic strip is placed flat on the bottoms of the cups at both ends. The ends should rest about 1 cm on the bottoms.
It is observed how far the plastic strip bends without load.

The students examine the taste cells of the tongue with four different liquids.
