Demonstration kit Optical bench – Basic collection
Demonstrating the Fundamentals of Optics on the Optical Bench
School level: Secondary education
Use: Demonstration experiments on fundamental topics in optics in physics lessons
The Demonstration kit Optical bench – Basic collection provides comprehensive equipment for demonstration experiments covering the fundamentals of optics in secondary education. The kit can be used to carry out 20 experiments. A comprehensive guide supports classroom use, while a storage plan helps keep all components clearly organised.
The central component is the optical light source with a 12 V / 50 W halogen lamp. The particularly bright light source is suitable for experiments on the optical bench as well as for projection. It features a built-in reflecting mirror and an aspherical condenser. The lamp can be moved and rotated for lateral and axial adjustment.
The equipment also includes various lenses, apertures, colour filters, a prism, screens and mirrors as well as a 1,000 mm aluminium profile rail with scale. These components allow a variety of experimental setups on the optical bench.
For further experiments in wave optics, the basic collection can be expanded with the Wave Optics Extension Kit (Art. No. 47605). This extension enables the additional experiments 21 to 27 described in the instructions.
