Explore the Practical Connections Between Solar Energy, Hydrogen and Heat
With the Green Energy House, students investigate the conversion and use of renewable energy through the three stations Solar Power, Solar Thermal Energy and Mobility with a Fuel Cell Car. The experimental materials support interdisciplinary learning and clearly demonstrate how solar energy can be converted into electrical, chemical, thermal and mechanical energy.
In the Mobility station, students explore the fundamentals of electrolysis and fuel cell technology. The Solar Power station demonstrates how solar energy is converted into electrical energy to power devices such as lamps or fans. In the Solar Thermal Energy station, students investigate how solar heat can be used for heating and hot water supply.
The concept is ideally suited for physics, technology, art and computer science classes. For example, a sun tracker can be programmed and then integrated into the experiments.
Please note: The house shown serves as an application example and is not included in the scope of delivery. The building can be individually designed and constructed or replaced with a suitable dollhouse. Recommended dimensions are approximately 60 × 50 × 50 cm (W × H × D).
For the experiments, a light source comparable to sunlight is recommended, such as the Reflector Floodlight 47150 (75 W).
