Students Kit DynaMot

Investigating Current, Voltage and Energy Conversion Experimentally

Use: Student experiments on electric current, voltage, energy transfer, series and parallel circuits, and energy conversion in introductory electricity lessons

With the Students Kit DynaMot, students investigate fundamental relationships between electric current, voltage and energy transfer through practical experiments. The DynaMot can be used both as a DC generator and a DC motor.

In most experiments, students generate the required electric current themselves using the hand-operated generator. This provides a direct link between fundamental concepts of electric circuits and the generation and transfer of electrical energy.

The experiments cover the relationship between energy flow and electron flow, current and voltage, as well as series and parallel circuits. Further experiments focus on the conversion of electrical energy into thermal, mechanical and chemical energy. A total of eight experiments are included.

A detailed illustrated guide supports classroom use. It contains reproducible information on experimental setups and procedures as well as suggested questions for evaluating the results. A separate answer booklet is also included.
