Air stream generator

Straightened Airflow for Aerodynamic Experiments

Use: Aerodynamic experiments in physics lessons

The Air stream generator produces a low-turbulence, straightened airflow for aerodynamic experiments. The radial fan is housed in a metal casing and features an air intake opening and a long airflow straightener.

The unit can be operated in both horizontal and vertical positions. A cover plate in front of the air intake allows the airflow velocity to be regulated. The switch and mains power cable are integrated into the base plate.

The Air stream generator is suitable for aerodynamic experimental setups that require a defined airflow.

Technical specifications

  • Max. airflow velocity: approx. 14 m/s
  • Air outlet: 90 × 90 mm
  • Height of air outlet centre above floor: 230 mm
  • Operating voltage: 230 V AC
  • Power consumption: 65 W
  • Dimensions: 400 × 200 × 290 mm
  • Weight: 5.5 kg

The Air stream generator can be combined with the Demonstration Set Flight and Flying (Art. No. 29008), for example.
